Sundar Pichali first came on stage to announce some mind blowing numbers: 2 Billion people use an Android Device. 500 million Google photo users who upload 1.2 Bn photo’s daily. Google Drive has 800 million monthly active users.
Artificial is the intelligence of the future!
Ai seems to be taking centre stage at Google. Google is planing to apply a layer of Ai to most of their products starting with Google Lens. Where when the camera is pointed in a direction Google Lens will figure out what you are actually looking at. To show how serious they are towards this, they are launching a new initiative called Google.ai where users can share knowledge with the AI community.
Google Home V2
Google Home is being upgraded with a new feature “proactive assistance” that can nudge you when Google Home can make suggestions such as there being a traffic jam en route to work today. Also you will be able to call people from Google Home, double up as a bluetooth speaker that will support more music services. Also it will enable you to launch something on Home and display on your TV or Phone using Chromecast.
360 Video’s on the TV?
Not sure how this will work, but youtube is adding 360 video’s to their TV app.
Google Assistant trying to woo Siri
According to Google iPhone users can rejoice to the news that Google Assistant is now available on the iPhone.
Google Assistant getting more conversational
Google assistant has extended to 100 million Android Devices and is being given new features to make it more “Conversational”. Funnily, They are introducing a type function to help in crowded environments. I actually thought this was already there with most devices.

Google has stripped down it’s OS to make sure it runs on some of the cheapest phones in the market. Android Go is targeted to grow like wildfire in developing markets.
Detailed Indoor positioning Service : VPS
Google announced that they are working on a detailed indoor location positioning Tech called VPS using it’s Tango 3D sensing computer vision tech. This should create a whole new arena for AR in my view.

So they are launching Job Search engine in the U.S. focusing on all types of Job’s.The engine will also employ other Google technologies line AI and machine learning to determine job classification and relevance.
